ESG approach Building tomorrow, Today

VC funding should always be about investing more than money. We believe that by keeping ESG at the core of our work, we are able to build truly resilient and remarkable companies that can thrive through the hurdles of reaching sustained business growth. We integrate ESG practices throughout the investment lifecycle, all the way from due diligence to exit. Our emphasis lies in identifying risks related to our portfolio companies’ operations, as well as approaching ESG as an opportunity to create value in pre-seed and seed stages.

PORTFOLIO WORK Our way

Operational sustainability

We believe that strong operational sustainability offers firms the best ability to survive long-term and ensure profits. ESG factors impact various critical aspects of a seed stage company, including regulatory compliance, partnerships with customers, talent acquisition, risk management, capital-raising capabilities, and suitability for exit strategies. Establishing ESG processes is most effective when done early and with agility, as correcting them later can be laborious. We believe a proactive approach is essential for fostering long-term company viability and facilitating sustained growth.

Here’s where we come in

As part of our onboarding process for new companies, we conduct a dedicated assessment to identify and address ESG-related issues, fostering the integration of ESG principles. After investing, ESG is expected to be a part of the companies’ board agenda on a regular basis and ESG related performance of the companies is monitored through a yearly ESG Questionnaire. Above all, our mission is to make ESG practices as practical as possible and encourage small steps. We emphasize that ESG is not a standalone consideration but should be carried through the entire organization.

At times, ESG can be a complex topic for startups. However, we understand the importance of ESG and are committed to providing continuous resources and support to our portfolio companies on a wide range of ESG topics. We also have a dedicated in-house ESG person responsible for the purpose of supporting portfolio companies to build sustainable operations.
